Australia

September 11th – San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams

The first game of the 2026 NFL International Series is a divisional matchup between the 49ers and the Rams in Melbourne, Australia. This marks the NFL’s first-ever trip to Australia, and the game will take place at the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground, which is one of the world’s biggest stadiums with a capacity of 100,024.

The game will take place on Thursday night in Week 1, and will mark Myles Garrett’s first game with the Rams after his stunning blockbuster trade from the Browns. Having come so close to the Super Bowl last season, this matchup is the Rams’ first step to getting back there, but this will no doubt be a tough test against a 49ers team desperate to get one over on their division rivals.

Brazil

September 27th – Baltimore Ravens @ Dallas Cowboys

Next up on the schedule is the third NFL game to take place in Brazil. During Week 3, the Ravens and Cowboys both head to the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, looking to set an early marker in the season.

In the last two years, the Brazil game has been in Sao Paulo, but on this occasion, the league has chosen to send Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott to the home of Brazilian soccer for the first time. Hopes are high this season for new Ravens head coach Jesse Minter, and a matchup against a new-look Dallas Cowboys is exactly the kind of game that they’ll be looking for a statement win in.

United Kingdom

October 4th – Indianapolis Colts @ Washington Commanders

Once again, NFL fans in the UK have three games to look forward to in 2026, starting with a Week 4 matchup between the Colts and the Commanders. After a dream 8-2 start last year, the Colts suffered a horrendous collapse down the stretch after the injury of Daniel Jones, losing their final seven games and somehow missing the playoffs entirely.

As for the Commanders? Well, after a thrilling NFC Championship Game appearance in 2024, they took a serious step back last season, slumping to a 5-12 record. Washington fans will be hoping for better next season out of Jayden Daniels and the rest of his team.

October 11th – Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The following week, the Jaguars and Eagles will face off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in a clash of two of last season’s playoff teams. Jalen Hurts and his Eagles are looking to bounce back from a frustrating offensive season in 2025, which saw them struggle all year in their Super Bowl defense, eventually falling to the 49ers in the Wild Card Round.

The Jags on the other hand had an impressive first season under new head coach Liam Coen, before falling to the Bills in the Wild Card round. Even as early as Week 5, this game could have serious playoff implications for both teams,

October 18th – Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

In Week 6, the league travels just a few miles to Wembley Stadium for a division matchup between the Texans and Jaguars. Once again, Jacksonville has two international games, and on this occasion, they face off against one of the league’s very best defenses in the Houston Texans.

Both of these teams made the playoffs last year, and this promises to be an exciting clash, as Demeco Ryans’ team look to put down an early marker and reclaim the AFC South from their rivals in Duval County.

France

October 25th – Pittsburgh Steelers @ New Orleans Saints

In Week 7, the NFL heads to Paris for the first time, with the Steelers and Saints taking to the field at Stade de France on October 25th. This will be Mike McCarthy’s first season as Steelers’ head coach, after taking over from long-serving coach Mike Tomlin in the offseason.

For the Saints, they’ll be hoping to win the NFC South for the first time in six seasons, and with Kellen Moore at head coach and Tyler Shough at quarterback, there’s growing optimism that they can do exactly that. Games like this will be a real test to see how far this team has really come.

Spain

November 8th – Cincinnati Bengals @ Atlanta Falcons

At the start of November, the Bengals and Falcons will travel to Madrid, Spain for the second NFL game to take place in the country. For Spanish fans, the opportunity to see Joe Burrow and his offense in person will be an enticing one, but it remains to be seen if the Bengals defense will be able to make this team into a real contender in 2026.

The Falcons remain in transition, and they currently hold the NFC’s longest playoff drought at eight seasons. However, with the NFC South still wide-open, Kevin Stefanski’s men will believe that they can end that streak in 2026.

Germany

November 15th – New England Patriots @ Detroit Lions

In Week 10, fans in Munich will be treated to a strong matchup between last year’s Super Bowl runners-up, the New England Patriots, and a team who won 15 games just two seasons ago in the Detroit Lions. This promises to be an exciting affair, as we continue to watch Drake Maye in his third season, now joined by AJ Brown in New England.

On the Lions side, getting to watch Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St Brown and Jared Goff go to work will be a treat for fans at the 75,000-capacity Allianz Arena. By the time Week 10 rolls around, expect this game to have serious playoff implications for both teams.

Mexico

November 22nd – Minnesota Vikings @ San Francisco 49ers

Finally, the International Series is rounded off with a trip to the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, where the league is returning after a four-year absence. In this one, the 49ers will play their second international game of the year, and their opponents will be the Minnesota Vikings in front of a raucous Mexican crowd.

Both teams will have high hopes for this campaign, with the Vikings likely to be rolling out new quarterback Kyler Murray in this Week 11 matchup. Fresh from hosting games at this year’s FIFA World Cup, the Azteca will be set to welcome these two teams as they battle for NFC playoff positions in this one.
