Los Angeles Rams 2025 Season Preview: Star Players, Key Matchups & Where to Watch
After starting your season 1-4, there’s no shame in ending it against the eventual Super Bowl champions in a game in which you fought down to the wire.
Last season may have ended under heavy snowfall in Philly, but in 2025, the LA Rams are locked and loaded, ready to take advantage of the last few years Stafford has left at the top of his game.
Armed with a mix of youth and experience on the offense, as well as a maturing crop of young talent on the defensive side of the ball, it’s impossible to write these 2025 Rams off, especially if they can avoid a slow start.
📺 Top 5 Must-Watch Rams Games in 2025
🏈 Week 3 (Sept 21) - @ Philadelphia Eagles
FOX, 1:00 PM ET
Facing the defending Super Bowl Champions this early in the season is certainly daunting, but these Rams put up a better fight than anyone in last year’s playoffs at the Linc. One to watch.
🏈 Week 5 (Oct 2) - vs San Francisco 49ers
Prime Video, 8:15 PM ET
Their first primetime game of the season against their biggest competition for the NFC West title, this one will have huge ramifications for the division standings whichever way it goes.
🏈Week 6 (Oct 12) - @ Baltimore Ravens
FOX, 1:00 PM ET
After a 10-day rest, the Rams will have to travel cross-country and face one of the best teams in all of football. No better test for this young defense than Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
🏈 Week 15 (Dec 14) - vs Detroit Lions
FOX, 4:25 PM ET
Last year’s NFC one-seed, at home, the Jared Goff-Matthew Stafford legacy game is always a scorcher.
🏈 Week 17 (Dec 29) - @ Atlanta Falcons
ESPN, 8:15 PM ET
If the Falcons deliver on their potential, this will fast become one of the worst away games imaginable. With both teams likely to be in the playoff picture, this one should be even higher stakes than usual.
🌙 Rams in Prime Time: When to Tune In
- Thursday Night Football (TNF) Games
- Week 5 vs San Francisco
- Week 16 @ Seattle
- Sunday Night Football (SNF) Games
- Week 12 vs Tampa Bay
- Monday Night (MNF) Games
- Week 17 @ Atlanta
Two of these Primetime showings are against division rivals, coming off short weeks, which are not exactly ideal circumstances for the Rams to thrive. However, in both cases, those Thursdays lead into grueling away weeks for LA: week 6, they play the Ravens in Baltimore, and week 17, they play the Falcons in Atlanta, so those extra days of rest will be of utmost importance. In the case of the latter, they even get an extra day since they play Atlanta on Monday Night Football.
⭐️ 2025 Star Players to Watch
🔥 On OffenseMatthew Stafford – Still slinging it at 37, a back injury could limit his early-season impact.Puka Nacua – Hasn’t slowed down since he burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2023.Davante Adams – One of the best route runners of all time, still has a lot left to give.
Kyren Williams – Will get plenty of touches for McVay’s offense thanks to his versatility.
🛡️ On DefenseJared Verse – Reigning DROY, the only way is up for Verse as a leader of this defense.
Baden Fiske – Another youngster with scary potential, Fiske has a lot to live up to in year 2.
How to Watch the Rams in 2025
It varies game to game. For the best, most in-depth access, NFL Network offers the most complete coverage. Nationally broadcast games are available on major networks such as Fox, CBS, and NBC, with other offerings on Prime Video and Netflix as well.

🧠 Final Thought: Can they get back to the Super Bowl?
They haven’t hosted a playoff game in LA since they won it all back in early 2022, yet still managed to down the Vikings as significant underdogs last season, and take the game to Philly in the divisional round. They’ve improved from year 1 without Aaron Donald, and if this group can stay healthier this season, their ceiling could be even higher than one playoff win. No matter how things shake out, this season is going to be a big one for LA.
