Potential final game coming up between Heats vs Lakers

Lakers one win away from glory

Los Angeles Lakers took a big step towards the title when they held off Miami Heats in Game 4. With a solid defence Lakers managed to keep Heats away from the big scores we’ve got used to, and the game ended 102-96. Going into the fifth and possibly final game of the series on Friday Los Angeles Lakers are now in a strong pole position to bring home the club’s 16th NBA-title.

Game 4 – As it happened

Game 4 was pretty much in Los Angeles favour from the first minute where Miami Heats had to focus on chasing. The score line 102-96 is a result of Los Angeles strong defence that we’ve witnessed so many times this season. 96 points is the lowest score by Miami Heats postseason.

It was a tight game just like we have been used to in this final series. The seven-point margin with 2:27 left in the third quarter was the biggest by either side to that point. Miami then went on a six-shoot long score streak to make it 70-71 in favour to Lakers.

LeBron James showed his class in this important game when he pulled of an impressive show and scored 28 points. Another player who stood for a game winning performance was Anthony Davies who made the deciding shoot when he found a three-pointer in the end of fourth quarter. Davies finished on 22 points and was together with James the two players who led Lakers one step closer to the title.

Player statistics – Top 5

LeBron James (LAL) 28 points

Anthony Davies (LAL) 22 points

Jimmy Butler (MIA) 22 points

Tyler Herro (MIA) 21 points

Duncan Robinson (MIA) 17 points

Game 5 – Lakers one game from Champions

When being asked after the game James felt the fourth game felt like a proper final game. The intensity and desperation were there and that’s what it’s all about said the three-time NBA winner. He also made it clear that there’s still work to be done when he said “the job is not done”. If there’s anyone who knows what it takes to go all the way it’s LeBron James, a massive player for Los Angeles Lakers this season.

The series now stands at 3-1 in favour of Los Angeles Lakers. Miami Heat have no room for mistakes and will have to find back to the offensive and intense performances they showed us up to the finals.

Los Angeles haven’t won the NBA finals since 2010 and will be celebrated as true heroes by their fans if they manage to bring home the club’s 16th title. A potential NBA-title will also place them level with Boston Celtics who stands on 17 titles.

The fifth game of this final series will take place in Orlando on Friday 9th, 21.00 local time. Make sure to check in on LiveSportsOnTv.com to find out where to follow the NBA-finals.
