Cleveland Browns 2025 Season Preview: Star Players, Key Matchups & Where to Watch
Cleveland was wholly disappointing in 2024, coming off an 11-win campaign the year prior.
There was no huge dropoff from Myles Garrett; in fact, some other important pieces stepped up big time on offense, but the team was unable to battle through injuries and QB drama, instead settling for just three wins last time out.
This offseason, theyâve only added to the QB carousel, creating one of the most compelling narratives in all of sports. As the season inches closer, there is still no clear QB1, and the Browns will need a miracle to avoid another catastrophe in 2025.
đș Top 5 Must-Watch Browns Games in 2025
đ Week 1 (Sept 7) - vs Cincinnati Bengals
FOX, 1:00 PM ET
The Bengals have developed a reputation for slow starts, something which Cleveland can capitalize on in their season opener. Cincinnati has won the last three âBattles for Ohio,â and Cleveland will hope to buck that trend.
đ Week 5 (Oct 5) - vs Minnesota Vikings
NFL Network/NFL+, 9:30 AM ET
Cleveland will have to face the entire NFC North in 2025, but this game against the Vikings in London provides a rare opportunity for the Browns to make a statement on the international stage.
đ Week 11 (Nov 16) - vs Baltimore Ravens
CBS/Paramount+, 4:25 PM ET
By this point in the season, with aâhopefullyâstable QB situation, the Browns should be better equipped to handle a stacked Ravens team.
đ Week 16 (Dec 21) - vs Buffalo Bills
CBS/Paramount+, 1:00 PM ET
The Bills will travel down Lake Erie with their division more than likely wrapped up, which could give the Browns a chance to steal a win from one of the AFCâs most feared teams.
đ Week 17 (Dec 28) - vs Pittsburgh Steelers
CBS/Paramount+, 1:00 PM ET
If Cleveland is still in the playoff hunt, their penultimate game of the season against the Steelers at home could have huge ramifications for either team. At best, it determines playoff seeding; at worst, regional pride.
đ Browns in Prime Time: When to Tune In
- No Primetime Games in 2025
- International Games
- Week 5 vs Minnesota Vikings
- (London, England)
- Week 5 vs Minnesota Vikings
The lack of primetime games is quite damning for the Browns. In recent seasons, theyâve flattered to deceive, acquiring plenty of talent, but failing to make much with it. They had 4 primetime games in 2024, but were flexed out of 2 of them, failing to deliver on the faith broadcasters had put in them. On the bright side, Cleveland does get one standalone game, when they play the Vikings in London. Unfortunately, the Brownsâ only prior experience abroad ended in a loss in 2017, which was also against Minnesota in London.
âïž2025 Star Players to Watch
đ„ On OffenseJerry Jeudy â Had a breakout 2024 campaign, de facto WR1 in Cleveland.
David Njoku â A best of a tight end, who will be a valuable safety blanket for any QB.
Joe Flacco/Kenny Pickett/Dillon Gabriel/Shedeur Sanders â One of them has to be the oneâŠ
đĄïž On DefenseMyles Garrett â Generational talent in his prime; the most complete player in the league.Denzel Ward â Elite corner who is criminally underrated by many around the league.
Mason Graham â Top 5 pick, a promising DT who will be an early contributor to this defense.
How to Watch the Browns in 2025
It varies game to game. For the best, most in-depth access, NFL Network offers the most complete coverage. Nationally broadcast games are available on major networks such as Fox, CBS, and NBC, with other offerings on Prime Video and Netflix as well.

đ§ Final Thought: Can they stay afloat in the AFC North?
There is minimal optimism surrounding these Browns, and a lot of that stems from the uncertainty under center. Once they have that sorted, if Flacco, Shedeur, or Dillon Gabriel can prove themselves to be that guy, they should be able to steady the ship. The defense was heavily reinforced in the draft and should be able to keep them in games this season. But with a tough schedule ahead, thereâs no telling how close the Browns are to turning things around for good.
