The Basketball Tournament (TBT) TV & Live Streaming Schedule
Watch The Basketball Tournament on TV and streaming
The Basketball Tournament, commonly abbreviated as TBT, is an annual summer basketball event played in the United States. The competition brings together former college standouts, players with professional experience and independently assembled teams competing for a winner-take-all cash prize. For more upcoming games from across the sport, visit our complete basketball on TV and streaming schedule.
Unlike a traditional basketball league, TBT is played over a relatively short period, with every game or series having an immediate effect on which teams remain in contention. Many of the participating alumni teams are connected to well-known college basketball programs, giving fans another opportunity to watch familiar players represent their former schools.
Use the TV and streaming schedule above to find upcoming TBT matchups, start times and confirmed viewing options. Select a game to see which TV channel or streaming service is carrying the coverage.
The Basketball Tournament 2026 format
The Basketball Tournament is divided into an alumni bracket and a non-alumni bracket.
The alumni side features teams made up largely of former players from college basketball programs. Its opening matchups are played as best-of-three series before the competition moves into single-elimination quarterfinals and semifinals.
The non-alumni side features independently assembled teams competing through group and knockout games in Las Vegas. The winner of the non-alumni bracket advances to face the alumni bracket champion in the TBT championship game.
A $2 million winner-take-all prize is on the line in the final, making TBT one of the highest-stakes events on the summer basketball calendar.
What is the Elam Ending?
One of the features that separates TBT from most other basketball competitions is the Elam Ending. Late in the fourth quarter, the game clock is turned off and a target score is established. The first team to reach that score wins the game.
This means that every TBT game ends with a successful scoring play rather than the clock simply running out. It can also reduce intentional fouling and create dramatic finishes, particularly when both teams are close to the target score.
