The Blues with a strong record against the Wilds

Minnesota Wilds only lost one of their five last games of the regular season and finished second seeded behind the Avalanche in the Western Conference. Looking at the Wilds strengths and weaknesses, it’s safe to say it’s their offensive qualities that have brought them to the Stanley Cup playoffs. Kirill Kaprizov among others were an unstoppable force in most of the Wilds' games and out of their 25 last games of the regular season, the Wilds scored three or more in 23.

The Blues on the other hand was keeping pace with their playoff opponents during the final weeks of the regular season. If it wasn’t for two defeats in the two final games the Blues would have been tied with the Wilds. The Blues have proved this season that they know what it takes to overcome the Wilds as they won all of their three matchups during the regular season. We hold the Blues as a more compatible team with a more evenly matched squad where no real weaknesses can be found.

The Wilds have to rely on their offense and in a tight playoff series as this probably will be it could prove difficult to break down the opponent. The Blues to go through can be backed at +135 which we believe is quite better value than the other side.

The Flames a serious contender for the Stanley Cup trophy

Calgary Flames finished number one seeded in the Pacific Division and were then given a playoff series against the number one wild card team from the Western Conference, the Dallas Stars.
The Flames is one of our favorites to go all the way this season and lift the Stanley Cup trophy. Having recorded the second best season in the franchise’s history it’s safe to say that there are high hopes and expectations on the team. Not less than three players from the Flames’ top line managed to finish among the five players with the best plus/minus in the NHL this season. Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk and Elias Lindholm all stood for more than 40 goals each and Gaudreau recorded an incredible 100+ points.
