The 2026/27 Premier League season begins Friday, August 21, with defending champion Arsenal hosting Coventry City. Matchweek 1 features all 20 clubs across ten games from Friday through Monday, with U.S. coverage split between USA Network, NBC, Peacock and NBCSN.

How to watch Premier League opening weekend in the U.S.
NBCUniversal hold the exclusive US media rights to the Premier League through 2028, and will broadcast games across their various platforms, both cable and streaming. Here’s how it all breaks down in the opening weekend:
- USA Network: The league’s primary cable home carries six of the ten opening-weekend games, including Friday’s opener and Monday’s feature game. These games are not available to stream live on Peacock.
- Peacock: The primary streaming home of the Premier League, Peacock carries selected games throughout the weekend, including an exclusive game on Sunday and a simulcast of the primary NBC broadcast on Saturday. It also will stream both simultaneous Saturday games. Includes “Premier League Multiview’ for watching both games simultaneously.
- NBC: Will broadcast one major game (Brentford-Tottenham) on broadcast television which is simulcast on the Peacock streaming service.
- NBC Sports Network: Selected opening weekend coverage (Saturday games) with availability depending on your provider.
- Universo and Telemundo - For selected Spanish language broadcasts.
NBCSN is available through participating pay-TV providers. NBC lists Ipswich Town - Sunderland as available only to selected NBCSN subscribers, while both Saturday 10 a.m. ET games are also available on Peacock.

Arsenal vs. Coventry City

Hull City vs. Manchester United
A blockbuster fixture for the opening Saturday morning of the Premier League, as Coventry’s fellow promoted side Hull take on possibly the biggest name in the competition in Manchester United. Hull will look to make an immediate impact in their return to the Premier League here, backed by their loyal support. Newcastle United vs. Liverpool

Monday afternoon’s coda to the week is a full-blooded West London derby, as Fulham and Chelsea lock horns in an early battle for local bragging rights. Adding extra intrigue is the new-look nature of both sides, and it should be a fascinating clash that gives us some idea of early-season momentum. What is Premier League multiview?
As you may have seen referenced above, Peacock offers ‘Premier League Multiview’. While the full schedule has yet to be announced (it won’t be available on every single game), you can expect to see it used in the first week of the season during the simultaneous Saturday kickoffs, i.e Nottingham Forest-Leeds United and Ipswich Town-Sunderland at 10am.
If you choose to use it, Multiview will allow you to watch both games at the same time, displaying them in a multi-screen layout which allows for concurrent watching without separate devices or browser tabs, while at the same time allowing you to switch between the commentary and audio tracks of both games whenever you wish.
If you decide you want to go fully into one particular game, you can select any match within the multiview layout and immediately activate full-screen, allowing you to focus entirely on that game.
We still don’t know all the times it will be available this season, beyond the opening weekend, so keep an eye on LiveSportsOnTV’s Premier League schedule, but you can also see it within the Peacock app. When Multiview is available, Peacock will display a dedicated “Premier League Multiview” tile on the home screen and in the sports section.
When does the 2026/27 Premier League season run?
2026/27’s Premier League will run from August 21, 2026 to May 30th, 2027, comprising of 380 games, as each of the 20 teams plays each other twice.
