New York Jets 2025 Season Preview: Star Players, Key Matchups & Where to Watch
New York is the hottest media market in all of sports, and in recent years, the NY Jets and their vast dysfunction have dominated the headlines. From drama with Aaron Rodgers to firing their head coach five games into the season, 2024 was ugly.
A new coaching staff and front office are leading the way in 2025, which has made them a much younger and potentially hungrier roster than they have been in recent years.
The first order of business for the Jets is to end the longest active playoff drought in the league, but only time will tell if that is on the cards.

For the two years they had Aaron Rodgers on the roster, the Jets were awarded with five primetime games each season. They went on to register a combined 3-7 record in those matchups, so itâs no wonder that Rodgersâ departure means they are no longer national media darlings, and have seen their tally drop down to two, both of which come in divisional games away from home. Their international record isnât much better, at 2-2, most recently losing out to the Vikings in London last season.

đ§ Final Thought: Can they end the playoff drought?
The Jets have it all to prove in year one of the Aaron Glenn era. If they can make the most of one of the easiest schedules in the entire league, Glenn could give his former team its first winning season in a decade. The playoffs are another matter entirely, but there is plenty of elite talent just waiting to be tapped into on this roster. If they can figure things out, you wonât want to miss these Jets at their best.
