2025 NBA Draft
- When: June 25
- How to Watch: ESPN, ABC, ESPN App
The basketball fun doesn’t have to stop with the conclusion of the NBA Finals. Watch the next cohort of NBA superstars enter the pro game and see who will be going first overall. Okay, I think it’s fair to say we all know that Cooper Flagg is going to be the first name called, heading to the incredibly fortunate Dallas Mavericks, who came out best in the lottery.
Behind Flagg though, will it be Dylan Harper second overall to the Spurs, or one of the top shooting guards available, Tre Johnson or VJ Edgecombe? Who will be selecting the next wave of exciting big men, headlined by Duke’s Khaman Maluach and Maryland’s Derik Queen? Enjoy all the action from the first round live on ABC or ESPN, before moving just to ESPN for Round 2. The draft can be streamed on the ESPN app.
2025 NHL Draft
- When: June 27–28
- How to Watch: ESPN (Day 1), NHL Network and ESPN+ (Day 2)
NHL front offices will convene in Los Angeles to reshape their rosters through the 2025 NHL Draft on June 27th and 28th. Mathew Schaefer looks set to be the top pick, but who else is going to hear their names called early? You’ll need ESPN, ESPN+, and NHL Network to enjoy it all.
Wimbledon
- When: June 30 – July 13
- How to Watch: ESPN, ESPN+, The Tennis Channel
The oldest and most prestigious tournament in the world kicks off at the end of June, and after Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s thrilling clash in the French Open, this tournament will be very highly anticipated. These grass courts have seen the sport’s biggest stars strut their stuff, and it will be fascinating to see if it will be a new name joining the list of champions. Catch it all on ESPN and The Tennis Channel.

MLS All-Star Game
- When: July 23

The 29th MLS All-Star game will see the best that the MLS has to offer facing off against the Liga MX All-Stars. Last year’s MLS All-Star team featured huge names such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Christian Benteke, and Jordi Alba, but it was the Mexican league’s All-Star team, who got the bragging rights with a 4-1 victory. This year’s edition will take place in Austin, Texas, on July 23rd, 2025, and can be watched on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass and FS1.
Pro Football Hall of Fame Game
- When: July 31
- How to Watch: NBC, Peacock
After a long offseason, the Pro Football Hall of Fame game finally introduces football back into our lives. Admittedly, it is just the preseason, but it’s NFL action all the same. This year, the game is pitting the Detroit Lions against the Los Angeles Chargers in Canton. While we won’t get to see the likes of Justin Herbert and Jared Goff, this game will give us an early look at the team’s rookies and players battling out for a roster spot. Enjoy the fun on NBC and stream it on Peacock on July 31st, 2025.
NFL Preseason Starts

The rest of the NFL’s 32 franchises will kick into gear a week later, when preseason Week 1 rolls around. Over the course of three weeks, we will see a good mix of starters, rookies and unknown names ease their way into the season and fight for their spots on the roster. After the Hall of Fame game fired the starting gun on July 31st, these games properly confirm that football is finally back.
