Top 3 Must-Watch Sporting Events This Weekend: September 20-21st
Event | Date & Time | Channel |
---|---|---|
NFL: LA Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles | Sun, Sept 21 – 1:00 PM ET | FOX, NFL+ |
Formula 1: Azerbaijan Grand Prix | Sun, Sept 21 – 7:00 AM ET | ESPN, ESPN+ |
College Football: Michigan @ Nebraska | Sat, Sept 20 – 3:30 PM ET | CBS, Paramount+ |
We are going football heavy for our top three this week. The LA Rams were the team who pushed the reigning Super Bowl champs the hardest in last year’s playoffs, and they headline a great early afternoon slate on Sunday. We can also check in on Dylan Raiola’s burgeoning career on Saturday, before enjoying an early morning race around Baku on Sunday, in the world of F1.
NFL: LA Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles
- Day: Sunday, September 21st
- Time: 1:00pm ET
- Channel: FOX, NFL+
Every game is important in the NFL, but when you get a chance to play the reigning Super Bowl champs, it means that little bit more. Thankfully, these LA Rams can take a lot of confidence from their showing against the Eagles in last year’s Divisional Round, only losing by 6, when every other one of the Eagles’ opponents fell by at least two scores.
Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and Davante Adams are a formidable trio, and the Rams’ young defensive line is as daunting as they come. But, of course, we know just how good the reigning champs can be with their star-studded lineup. The fact that this is an early afternoon game is a bit of a surprise, but we won’t complain. This one should be box office!
Formula 1: Azerbaijan Grand Prix
- When: Sunday, September 21st
- Time: 7:00am ET
- Channel: ESPN, ESPN+
There’s nothing better than waking up to high-octane sporting action, and you’ll certainly get that if you turn on ESPN at 7am on Sunday. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are separated by 21 points at the top of the driver’s leaderboard, giving the Aussie a nice cushion to work with. However, you never want to take anything for granted, particularly around this electrifying street circuit. This track is the perfect combination of long, high-speed straights and narrow, technical corners, making it must-watch entertainment for petrolheads.
Will it be another easy win for the McLarens, or did Max Verstappen’s at Monza spark the beginning of a resurgence for the Red Bull driver? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
College Football: Michigan Wolverines @ Nebraska Cornhuskers
- When: Saturday, September 20th
- Time: 3:30pm ET
- Channel: CBS, Paramount+
This Saturday, you can enjoy a quality Big Ten matchup between the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Michigan Wolverines. For Nebraska, we have the Patrick Mahomes clone himself, Dylan Raiola, who sure knows how to entertain, and is looking in fine form so far this year. Meanwhile, over in Michigan, things haven’t been quite as smooth for Bryce Underwood and the Wolverines. Both teams will be desperately hoping to get a win here to build momentum towards a playoff spot.
If this game doesn’t tempt you, then make sure to check out the Live Sports on TV College Football page, where you will find a ton more games and all the relevant broadcast information.
