BetMGM has made some useful changes specifically for bettors trying to get a wager through while the line is moving.

For the 2026 football season, it introduced rolling lines that can update automatically inside the betslip, alongside line-movement information, expanded Cash Out and more live Same Game Parlay options. That addresses a common live-betting problem: finding a price, adding it to your betslip and discovering that the game has already moved before you can place it.

The game pages also include injury information, team data and line movement, so there’s more context around why a price may be changing. That’s the part of BetMGM’s live product I find most interesting. Rather than simply offering another long list of in-play markets, some of its recent changes are aimed at what happens in the few seconds between finding a live bet and actually placing it.

FanDuel is particularly interesting if you don’t want to stop building Same Game Parlays once the game begins.

Live SGPs are available on eligible events, including NBA games, so you can react to what you’re watching and combine several outcomes from the same game. FanDuel also has The Pulse, which surfaces live bets around developing storylines rather than making you search through every market yourself.

There are useful details in the betslip too. FanDuel allows you to choose whether to automatically accept odds movement, which can save a confirmation step when a live price changes before the wager is submitted.

For NFL games, FanDuel has also built scores, statistics, play-by-play, drive information and a 3D field view into the live experience. Put together, FanDuel feels most distinctive when you want to follow what’s happening and build new bets around the game as it develops.

Fanatics takes live betting much closer to the action through Lightning Bets. During football games, that can mean betting on what happens on the next play, whether a drive produces a first down or whether a team reaches a particular yard line. Its basketball rules show just how short-term these markets can become, with bets on whether both teams score in the next minute, whether a three-pointer is made in the next minute and which team scores a specified point.

Fanatics also places live markets alongside a game visualization and player and team statistics, which makes those short-term bets easier to follow without constantly moving between different screens.

Live streaming is the feature that makes Caesars particularly relevant for in-play betting. The Caesars Sportsbook app streams thousands of sporting events, including selected NFL games, so you can follow the action while keeping the live markets open in the same app.

That becomes useful when the game starts moving quickly. Instead of switching between a streaming service and your sportsbook to check the new spread, total or player props, you can follow selected events and see how the available markets change as the game develops.

Caesars also offers live Same Game Parlays and has expanded its betting product with features such as Flex Parlays. But for live betting specifically, the ability to combine the game and the sportsbook in one place is its most useful feature.

BetRivers has a more distinctive live product than they get credit for. Its GameCast View is designed around following a game while the live odds update, and BetRivers also offers live sports streams for selected events. That makes it more than simply another sportsbook to open when you want to compare a spread.

I’d still use BetRivers for line shopping. If FanDuel moves an NBA favorite to -4 while BetRivers still has -3.5, the better number is the immediate reason to place the bet there. But GameCast gives BetRivers a stronger live-betting identity because you can follow the game and its changing markets together.

For bettors who like keeping a game open and waiting for a particular number before betting, that’s a much more relevant feature than the sportsbook’s general promotions or rewards program.
