That inconsistency is a genuine weakness, and if a structured rewards program matters to you, DraftKings and BetMGM both offer more predictable ongoing value. What FanDuel does offer are several recurring formats that show up reliably enough to plan around.

• Bet Protect+: FanDuel’s injury protection add-on for NBA player props. Pay a flat 3% fee on your stake and if your player exits the game hurt, straight bets are refunded in cash and parlay legs are dropped with the bet recalculated. Covers the full game. Not available in CT, MA, NC, NJ, PA, or TN, as those states get free first-quarter coverage with bonus bet refunds instead

Does FanDuel Have a Rewards Program?

One of the most common criticisms of FanDuel is that sportsbook bettors get nothing back for their volume. No points, no tiers, no perks. FanDuel has two loyalty programs, but which one applies to you depends entirely on where you are and what you’re betting on.

FanDuel Players Club is the DFS-based program. All accounts are enrolled automatically, and you earn FanDuel Points by entering paid daily fantasy contests rather than by placing sports bets.

Points determine your monthly tier status, and rewards include free plays, profit boosts, and bonus bets. If you only use the sportsbook and never touch DFS, this program effectively does nothing for you.

FanDuel Casino Rewards Club launched in October 2025 and is only available in NJ, MI, PA, and WV, which are the four states where FanDuel Casino operates. It’s a proper tiered program with five levels where you earn 1 to 3 points per real-money dollar spent.

Higher tiers unlock weekly bonus back offers ranging from 5% at Level 1 up to 25% at the top tier, plus exclusive reward boxes and birthday bonuses. Tier status resets monthly based on your activity.

If you’re a sportsbook-only bettor in most states, FanDuel simply doesn’t reward your activity the way its competitors do. That’s a real gap and one of the clearest reasons to keep a DraftKings or BetMGM account running alongside it.

How to Create a FanDuel Account

The signup process is straightforward and most accounts are verified instantly. Here’s how to do it:

4. Provide your personal details including full name, date of birth, home address, and the last four digits of your SSN for identity verification

You must be 21 or older (18+ in DC, KY, and WV) and physically located in a state where FanDuel operates. Geolocation runs automatically when you open the app so a VPN will not work.

Flutter Entertainment’s proprietary trading operation powers odds across 20+ sports, and the depth across NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL is as good as anything in the US market.

The same infrastructure runs Betfair and Paddy Power globally, which means fast odds updates and competitive pricing on major markets. Where it falls short is niche sports and prop market depth, where DraftKings still has the edge.

If you’re a prop bettor who likes to scan markets across multiple games, FanDuel’s navigation will frustrate you. Markets are organized by individual game rather than by prop type, which means finding, say, all available first basket scorers for tonight’s NBA slate requires clicking into each game separately.

What FanDuel’s Odds Actually Cost You

On standard spreads and totals across the NFL and NBA, FanDuel sits close to DraftKings and is generally within a half-point of the market consensus.

Where the gap shows up most clearly is on props, where it’s not uncommon to find both sides of a player prop at -115 on FanDuel where DraftKings has the same market at -110. Over hundreds of bets that difference compounds into real money.

FanDuel actually leads DraftKings on NFL pricing and posts lower vig than BetMGM across every sport in the table. The drag on its overall number comes from MLB and NBA where its vig runs higher than DraftKings. Bet365 is the sharpest book overall but is only available in 15 states, which limits how useful that comparison is for most bettors.

FanDuel is not where you want to be if odds quality is your primary concern. It’s where you want to be for the SGP product, the app, and the payout speed. Running FanDuel alongside DraftKings for line shopping gives you the best of both.

The app also requires frequent re-authentication when switching between apps while line shopping, which adds friction if you run multiple books. Prop market browsing by category across multiple games is the other weak point, and something DraftKings handles better.

How Fast Does FanDuel Pay Out?

FanDuel’s $1 minimum withdrawal is the lowest of any major US sportsbook. BetMGM starts at $20, DraftKings at $5. If you want your money out fast and in small amounts, that difference is real.

Arkansas went live in March 2026, bringing FanDuel to 25 states plus DC and Puerto Rico. Only DraftKings covers more ground. California, Texas, and Florida remain the three largest states without legal online sports betting and consequently without FanDuel access.
