BetMGM – Best for MLB Market Variety
BetMGM is my first choice when I want plenty of ways to bet the same MLB game. Alongside the moneyline, run line and total, there are separate sections for pitcher and hitter props, inning markets, Same Game Parlays and live betting.
I particularly like BetMGM for first-inning betting. NRFI and YRFI odds are posted across the MLB regular season and postseason, so you don’t have to wait for selected high-profile games to find them. If your baseball betting moves between full-game lines, props and shorter markets, BetMGM gives you plenty to work with.
FanDuel – Best for MLB Player Props & Same Game Parlays
FanDuel is where I’d start if most of my baseball bets were on individual players. Its MLB boards regularly go well beyond the obvious home-run markets, with pitcher strikeouts and outs recorded alongside batter hits, total bases, RBIs, stolen bases and other props.
That selection also carries over nicely into Same Game Parlays. You can build an SGP around a view of the entire matchup, for example combining the moneyline with a starting pitcher’s strikeouts and a hitter’s total bases rather than being limited to team markets.
Fanatics – Best for MLB Player Prop Protection
The reason Fanatics makes this list is its Fair Play policy. It addresses one of the most frustrating situations when betting baseball props: backing a player who leaves the game unusually early.
Its MLB rules provide protection for qualifying hitter and starting-pitcher props when the player exits early under specified conditions. That’s a meaningful difference if you regularly bet strikeouts, hits, total bases or other individual performances.
I wouldn’t choose Fanatics simply because it has more baseball markets than everybody else. I’d choose it because the way it handles certain early exits gives prop bettors something genuinely different.
Caesars – Best for Live MLB Same Game Parlays
Caesars is more interesting for baseball once a game has started. Its sportsbook supports in-play wagering and live Same Game Parlays, so you aren’t limited to taking a position before the first pitch.
That’s useful in MLB, where a pitching change, a starter struggling early or a bullpen coming into the game can quickly change how you view the matchup. Caesars has also invested in technology designed to price more correlated SGP combinations, which gives it a stronger case here than simply pointing to its standard MLB moneylines and props.
Regular Caesars users have another advantage through Caesars Rewards, with sportsbook activity contributing to the wider rewards program.
BetRivers – Best for First 5 & Inning Betting
BetRivers is the one I’d consider if I prefer breaking a baseball game into smaller pieces. In addition to the usual MLB moneyline, run line and total, its baseball boards include markets covering the opening innings rather than only the final nine-inning result.
That makes it useful for First 5 bettors who want to concentrate on the starting pitchers and reduce the influence of the bullpens. There are also individual-inning markets, live betting and selected player props.
BetRivers isn’t my first choice here for a huge player-prop menu. Its appeal is more straightforward: plenty of ways to bet the game itself and the early innings.
Which Baseball Sportsbook Should You Choose?
There isn’t much point in saying that all five are “great for MLB.” They aren’t identical, and I’d use them for different reasons.

That doesn’t mean I’d blindly place every bet at the sportsbook in the table. If I’m betting a Dodgers moneyline, for example, the best site is often simply the one giving me the better price. These recommendations become more useful when you’re deciding which sportsbooks are worth having available for the particular types of baseball bets you make.

How We Test Betting Sites for Baseball
When testing baseball betting sites, I start with the same MLB matchup at each site and see how far I can get beyond the moneyline, run line and total. For pitchers, I look for strikeouts, outs recorded, walks and hits allowed. For hitters, I check markets such as hits, total bases, home runs and RBIs.
Then I look at the markets that are particularly relevant to baseball. Can I bet the First 5 innings? Is NRFI/YRFI available? What can actually be combined in a Same Game Parlay? Once the game starts, how much of that choice survives in the live section?
Finally, I repeat the test on mobile. During the MLB season, I want to be able to move through a full day’s schedule without losing the game or market I was looking at every time I go back a screen.
What Can You Bet on in Baseball?
Baseball has far more betting options than simply picking which team will win. MLB sportsbooks usually start with the moneyline, run line and total, but individual games can also have dozens of pitcher and hitter props, inning markets and Same Game Parlay options.
The exact selection depends on the sportsbook and matchup. A high-profile MLB game will usually have a much deeper menu than college or international baseball.

The biggest differences between baseball betting sites tend to appear once you move past the first three rows.
FanDuel is particularly useful for hitter and pitcher props, BetMGM has strong NRFI/YRFI and broader MLB market coverage, BetRivers gives you plenty of First 5 and inning options, while Caesars stands out more once you move into live betting and Same Game Parlays.
Baseball Betting Outside MLB
MLB is where you’ll find the biggest choice of baseball markets, but there’s still plenty to bet on outside the majors. BetMGM, for example, covered the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament from the Regionals through to the College World Series, while Caesars also takes college baseball bets in states where they’re permitted.
BetMGM is also the first of these five sportsbooks I’d check for international baseball. It currently covers South Korea’s KBO, where you can bet on moneylines, run lines and game totals.
College Baseball Betting Changes by State
College baseball is where things get a little more complicated. The markets available don’t just depend on whether you use FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, Fanatics or BetRivers, they also depend on where you’re betting. Several states don’t allow college player props at all, while others restrict bets involving local colleges or athletes. We’ve broken down those differences below.
Other states take a different approach. Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Wisconsin allow some college betting while restricting props or wagers connected to in-state schools.
There are quirks beyond that. Illinois restricts betting involving individual athletes from Illinois colleges. Indiana permits pregame college player props but not live college player props. Oregon doesn’t offer college sports betting through its legal sportsbook at all.
The practical difference becomes clearer during the College World Series. A player prop you see discussed online may be perfectly legal for a bettor in one state but absent from the same sportsbook when you open it somewhere else.
These rules change, and sportsbooks can choose to offer less than state regulations permit, so I always check the actual market available where I’m betting.
