The memories from last season are still fresh in mind as the NBA announced last week that the 2020/21 season is scheduled to begin on the 22nd of December. 18th November – NBA Draft
20th November – Free Agent negotiations
22nd November – Free Agents can be signed by teams
22nd December – NBA 2020/21 season starts

The NBA draft will begin on the 18th of November and will be held via videoconferencing. The draft order was decided on the 20th of August and it’s the Minnesota Timberwolves who’ll get to pick first, followed by Golden State Warriors. The State Warriors were not one of the teams who got invited to the NBA Bubble last season and therefore they were in the lottery of getting the top picks.

Top prospects NBA Draft 2020

LaMelo Ball – Extremely talented point guard with a great sense for the game. He’s born in 2001 and played last season for Illawarra Hawks in the NBL in Australia. Ball was awarded the NBL Rookie of the Year last season and is seen as one of the top prospects in this season’s NBA draft.

Anthony Edwards – A strong and powerful shooting guard. His strength and length will be a threat for any opposition in the NBA. Anthony Edwards is a super talent, born in 2001, who possess an impressive offensive skillset. Still has some improvements to make when it comes to tactical smartness and in the defensive job.

James Wiseman – 19-year-old James Wiseman is a great talent playing as a centre. Good technique and movement on the floor and a player who covers a lot of ground. James Wiseman is a top athlete who’ll be worth keeping an extra eye on during the 2020/21 season.

NBA 2020/21 structure

There will be 30 teams competing in the NBA 2020/21 season. Every team will play 72 games during the regular season before it’s time for the Playoffs, which are planned to begin in April 2021. The 2020/21 season is planned to finish in July to give the players time to prepare for the Olympics.
