Seattle Sounders FC vs Minnesota United

Seattle Sounders FC were one of the favourites to win the MLS Cup when the season began and so far they haven’t let anyone down. Brian Schmetzer’s team finished second in the league table and showed what a reliable and solid team they are as they fought off both LAFC and FC Dallas on their way to the Conference Final.

Raúl Ruidíaz is the top goal scorer for the Sounders this season with 12 goals to his name, followed by Jordan Morris (10) and Nicolás Lodeiro (7).

Lead by Emanuel Reynoso and his magical touch on the ball Minnesota United have managed to win their last three games, all with the result of 3-0. The Loons have never been in a MLS Cup final before but feel that they’ve all chances of  reaching it this season. Let be that they still have the toughest task ahead of them as they go up against Seattle Sounders FC, but with the results and performances we’ve witnessed from Minnesota United lately anything is possible. Kevin Molino will play an important role in the upcoming game for Minnesota United as the Trinidadian has scored four goals already in this seasons MLS Cup Playoffs.

Columbus Crew SC vs New England Revolution

New England Revolution have been in the MLS Cup Final five times but have never managed to clinch the trophy, will this be their year? To do so they’ll have to overcome a tough opposition in Columbus Crew. Columbus Crew booked their spot in the Conference Final by defeating New York Red Bulls by 3-2 and Nashville SC by 2-0 after two goals in extra time. Now they look to bring home the club’s second MLS Cup trophy, having won the championship back in 2008.

This will be a tight game where it’s hard to predict a winner. Both teams have shown great consistency in their game and it shouldn’t come as a surprise if this goes all the way to extra time. Columbus Crew are favourites by the odds, but the Revs are never to be underestimated.
