Who won the Open Championship 2021?

The Open Championship 2021 was held at the Royals St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, England. The 2021 tournament was the first since 2019 as the 2020 year’s tournament was canceled due to the pandemic. It was also the first Open Championship at the Royals St George’s Golf Club since 2011 when Darren Clark won.

The winner of the Open Championship 2021 was Collin Morikawa who, thanks to an impressive final round, managed to seal the first place and win his first ever British Open tournament. Despite his relatively young age, Morikawa has with that victory proved himself as one of the best players on the tour and we can surely expect a lot more to come from the American in the coming years.

When is the Open Championship 2022?

The Open Championship 2022 will be held between 14-17 July with plenty of events and happenings taking place prior to the tournament itself as a way of celebrating the tournament’s 150-year long history.

During the first two rounds of the tournament, players will play in groups of three. After two rounds, there will be a cut after which the 70 best ranked players plus ties will proceed to the final two rounds. Round 3 and round 4 will be played in groups of two.

Where is the Open Championship 2022 held?

This year’s Open Championship will be held at what many would say is the home of golf, namely on the Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland. The court is believed to have been used for the purpose of golf since the early 15th century and it has had a huge influence on modern golf. The Old Course at St Andrews has a long history and has staged some of the most unforgettable moments of golf there has ever been.
