The Bills are together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the betting favourites to win the most games this season. The Bills, lead by quarterback Josh Allen, are not surprisingly considered as one of the best teams in the league and nevertheless a team that we expect to reach at least double digit of total wins this season.
Not only is it a supreme squad and last season’s performance fresh in mind that speaks in favour of the Bills. Their playing schedule might as well be to their advantage as they hit the ground early with some challenging matchups, only to have a relatively comfortable run from week 7 and onwards. Even with a few slip ups in the first couple of weeks, the Bills should have enough quality to overcome whatever gets thrown upon them in the second half of the regular season.

New York Jets
It has been some rough years for Jets fans, supporting the team with the lowest tally of wins over the past six seasons (27). There seems, however, to be a light at the end of the tunnel with the 2022 season’s squad looking more competitive than in many years and a new era built around quarterback Zach Wilson.
There’s no doubt that the Jets seem better prepared for the upcoming season than what has been the case in the past. With a number of exciting additions to the roster, read Sauce Gardner and Garret Wilson who were both in top 10-draft, we should expect a better season outcome than the 4-17 record from last season.
If things fall in place and general manager Joe Douglas gets paid for his newly built foundation of players, then the Jets should be able to get over 5.5 wins which is projection at BetMGM.

Miami Dolphins
What should we make out of the Dolphins’ 2021 season? Seven losses from the opening 8 weeks and then only one defeat in the final 9 games. Suppose the season was played for another 2-3 weeks and the Dolphins would most likely be in the playoffs, that’s how good their run was. Going into the 2022 season, the Dolphins are one of the most revamped teams in the league and the feeling is that this can go either way. With that many changes to the squad, the challenge lies in finding a solid foundation.
The win projection of 8.5 indicates that the Dolphins are fighting to beat last season’s 9-8 record. Like the Bills, the opening weeks for the Dolphins are key as this is when they take on the big challenges with three of five games on the road against tough opponents. A more comfortable midseason is then followed up by four out of six games on the road to finish off the regular season.

New England Patriots
A disappointing 2020 season with under-0.500 was followed by a more solid performance last season when the Patriots hit a 10-7 record. Couple of things still to improve for Bill Belichick whose team is still lacking top level players on some positions. However, the Patriots seem to have found their long-term future quarterback in Mac Jones which is an interesting name to build this team around.
Last season, the Patriots just clinched a spot in the playoffs where they got to feel the strength of the Bills. We can't see the Patriots reach further than that even this season and even more so if the Dolphins manage to put their fresh additions to work early on.
The Patriots and the Dolphins go head to head already in the opening week. This could possibly tell us which of the two teams that are having a serious go on the playoffs this season. The opening week is followed up by another three tricky matchups for the Patriots against the Steelers, the Ravens and finally the Packers. It’s going to be hard to make it over 8.5 wins considering the relatively challenging schedule ahead. If we were to pick a side, the value would be in under 8.5.

AFC East Odds
The Bills are favored when looking at the odds to win the AFC East, paying -190 at BetMGM. The odds rarley lies in these cases and when analysing the teams we can't do anything but agree with the divsion winner odds. The Bills are superior to the other teams in the division and for us it should be labeld as a huge underperformance if they were to not make it to the playoffs at least.
