Conor Mcgregor’s UFC-comeback - Everything you need to know about UFC 303!

UFC icon and one of the biggest names in combat sports, "The Notorious" Conor McGregor, is now booked for UFC 303, where he will step into the octagon for the first time in three years! The former “double-champ” was last seen in a UFC match when he faced Dustin Poirier in July of 2021, in a bout that ended in dramatic fashion as McGregor suffered a foot injury. This time, the Irishman will face Michael Chandler in a welterweight showdown promising fireworks between two of the most explosive athletes in the sport.

The event features a "Co-Main Event," which means McGregor vs Chandler is not the only fight in the spotlight. In the other headline match, former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill takes on Khalil Rountree Jr. in a very intriguing bout. Hill lost his title fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 300 and is now seeking redemption against the highly hyped Rountree Jr., who has won his last five matches.

Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler background:

The match between McGregor and Chandler has been in the works for over a year, and after much back and forth, it is finally booked. The two even served as coaches on UFC's reality show, The Ultimate Fighter, where tensions escalated significantly. In true McGregor fashion, there were harsh words, ridicule, and even physical altercations between the coaches.

McGregor has long talked about moving up to welterweight, and with his time away from the sport, he has certainly bulked up enough to do so. Chandler is also a powerhouse whose strength should not be underestimated, especially as he moves up to the heavier weight class.
